Register for Star Alert

Are you registered for Star Alerts?
Star Alert is an emergency messaging system. These alerts are sent to you through text mail and e-mail during emergencies that threaten life safety or severely impact normal campus operations. They are also sent for weather related warnings involving flash floods, severe thunderstorms, severe winter storms and tornadoes.
Everyone affiliated with St Cloud State University is urged to register for this valuable service. It not only allows emergency information to be shared with you before you arrive on campus, but if access to campus computers and telephones is compromised for any reason, wireless notification is a critical component of timely communication.
Notifications are brief and will specify that the message is a Star Alert, which campus it impacts, what action to take, and where to find additional information.
Save time and gas by registering for Star Alerts.
This emergency notification system lets you know if campus is closed or if classes are delayed or canceled. It is being implemented at every Minnesota State Colleges and Universities institution so if you attend more than one campus, you may choose to receive Star Alert messages from each of them.
To register for this valuable service you must have a phone that is capable of receiving text or e-mail messages. Simply provide your cell phone number and/or a personal email address and you’re all set. When you receive a confirming message, your registration is complete. When you want to cancel this service, simply follow the same process and remove your data.
Standard text messaging fees from your cellular carrier may apply.
