Reorganization forums

Employees and students are invited to feedback forums to discuss reorganization recommendations released today.

The "Vice Presidents' ASAOPSA Report Response" (PDF) calls for staff cuts, increased revenue and consolidation and restructuring of administrative functions.

Administrative reorganization and academic reorganization will reduce the $14 million shortfall expected in the budget year that begins July 1.

ASAOPSA stands for Academic Support, Administrative & Operating Program & Service Appraisal & Organization. It describes both the administrative reorganization process and the steering group guiding that process.

A first draft of the ASAOPSA recommendations was discussed at forums in early December. Today's recommendations are a second draft.

Final recommendations will be submitted to President Earl H. Potter III Jan. 28. Potter is expected to announce reorganization decisions Feb. 4.

The vice presidents will host a question-and-answer session 11 a.m.-noon Jan. 18 in Atwood Ballroom.
