Three bands, including headliner Sherwood, will perform rock and pop music 8 p.m. Dec. 1 in the ballroom of Atwood Memorial Center. The concert is free with a St. Cloud State ID. Public tickets are $5. View the concert poster (PDF). Sherwood is a five-piece band from San Luis Obispo, Calif., that plays upbeat pop rock. The MySpace recording artist recently had its song "The Best In Me" used as the theme for the MTV television show "College Life." Sherwood has three full-length recordings and two EPs to its credit. View its discography. Performing a 35-minute set will be Minneapolis band Now, Now, which records on the No Sleep Records label. Now, Now has released four recordings, including 2008's full-length "Cars" on Afternoon Records. An EP is set for release in December. Hyland, an indie-rock band from Minneapolis, opens the show with a 35-minute set. The Tooth & Nail Records artist expects to release a full-length recording in spring 2011.
