Battle of the Bands

Sarcasm Radio performs in the 2010 Battle of the Unsigned Bands competition.

Register by Dec. 1 for the Feb. 9 Battle of the Unsigned Bands competition.

Submit a registration form with a demo CD/tape or link to a music site to the University Program Board (UPB) office in Atwood Memorial Center.

The competition features solo artists and bands, who do not have a recording contracts, performing original songs. View the rules/registration document (PDF).

A signature UPB event for 19 years, Battle of the Unsigned Bands includes performances by four finalists Feb. 9 in Atwood Ballroom. The competition culminates with paid performances by two bands at the April 16 Mississippi Music Fest.

The winner receives a yet-to-be-determined grand prize. In past years the winner has received free recording time at a studio.
