“Rang De: Splash of Colors” is the theme for the 6 p.m. Nov. 13 India cultural night at St. Cloud State. Atwood Ballroom doors open at 5:30 p.m. Purchase tickets in Atwood 10 a.m.-4 p.m. through Nov. 12. Student tickets are $7 with a St. Cloud State ID. All other tickets are $12. Event planners promise to showcase the vibrant colors of the Indian cultures and food. The planet's largest democracy is a world economic power with nearly 1.2 billion people. The Indian diaspora has scattered some 24 million people of Indian origin around the globe. St. Cloud State has 105 students from India enrolled Fall Semester. The university's No. 2 official, Devinder Malhotra, provost and vice president of academic affairs, was born in northern India and educated at schools in Dalhousie and Delhi.
