Federal banking exec to speak

You might have noticed the state of the economy has become quite a hot topic -- but here is a chance to hear from someone of authority on the issue.
James Bullard, president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, will speak as part of the G.R. Herberger College of Business Speaker Series 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, in the Atwood Memorial Center Theatre on campus.
Bullard is a 1984 St. Cloud State graduate. His presentation, "The Economy," is open to all at no charge.
Bullard joined the Research division of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis in 1990. As the nation’s central bank, the Fed is responsible for conducting monetary policy, supervising banks and operating the nation's payment system.
