Friday, September 11, 2009
Students can be vaccinated against seasonal influenza Sept. 14 and Sept. 17 in the Granite Room of Atwood Memorial Center.
The Sept. 14 flu clinic is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Sept. 17 clinic is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A vaccination costs $25. Student Health Services, which is managing the clinics, will accept cash or a check.
The vaccination is also available by appointment by calling Student Health Services at 320-208-3193.
Students at higher risk for flu complications from the H1N1 flu should consider getting the H1N1 vaccine when it becomes available later this year.
Pregnant women and people with chronic medical conditions such as asthma, heart disease and diabetes are among those more likely to suffer complications.

Influenza viruses can flourish where large numbers of people congregate. Student Health Services officials advise those who believe they have the flu to telephone a healthcare provider or call Student Health Services at 320-308-3191.
Student Health Services is in east end of Hill Hall on 6th Street South, opposite Atwood Memorial Center and Performing Arts Center.
