News Release Students invite all to celebrate Edo period of JapanWednesday, April 1, 2009 ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State University’s Japan Network, a social networking group for students interested in Japanese culture, is hosting Japan Night from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, April 11, in the Atwood Memorial Center Ballroom on campus. The festival, which will celebrate the Edo period (1603-1867), also known as Medieval Japan, will include traditional Japanese drumming, dance, singing, piano, a fashion show, martial arts, games and authentic Japanese food.
