News Release Students, community celebrate Chinese New YearMonday, January 26, 2009 ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State University and the International Chinese Student Association invite students, faculty and members of the community to celebrate Chinese New Year in a cultural-exchange event, "Golden ‘Niu’ Year." Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, in the Atwood Memorial Center Ballroom, with festivities lasting until 9 p.m. Golden ‘Niu’ Year gives international students the opportunity to share time-honored traditions, such as a lion dance, 24 season drums, Kung Fu, musical performances, Chinese dance and authentic Chinese cuisine. Tickets are $10 for adults, $6 for St. Cloud State students, $4 for children; children under four are free. Tickets are available at the door, or can be purchased from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 19-30 in the Atwood Memorial Center.
