News Release Celebrate Somali traditions Jan. 24Tuesday, January 20, 2009 ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State University and the Somali Student Association (SSA) present "I Am Somalia," a celebration of Somali culture. The event begins at 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, in the Atwood Ballroom, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. "I Am Somalia" will include live performances, poetry, a fashion show, traditional cuisine and other activities showcasing Somali culture. Admission is $7 for students and $10 for faculty and members of the community. Tickets also can be purchased from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 20-21 and 9 a.m. to noon Jan. 22 in the Atwood Memorial Center lobby for $5.
