News Release Wrestler fights for college and countryTuesday, November 11, 2008
Adam Minette is still fighting, but his weapons of choice -- a single, a half Nelson, a sprawl -- are not the lethal ones he carried during house-to-house searches in Iraq. The junior wrestler and economics major from New Prague, Minn., is back on the Husky wrestling team and back in the classroom after nearly a year of service in the Iraq War with the 849th Mobile Augmentation Company of the Army National Guard. His story is garnering attention this Veteran's Day, thanks to a feature in the Oct. 28 St. Cloud Times and a Nov. 11 story on the NCAA web site. << Previous | Archive | Next >>
