ST. CLOUD, Minn. – According to St. Cloud State University Meteorologist Bob Weisman, this season’s first hard freeze wasn’t until Oct. 21, leading to the longest growing season since 1970.
Weisman’s October St. Cloud weather summary also reported moderately warm, wet weather conditions throughout the month. Modest rainfall eased dry conditions in most of Central Minnesota.
