News Release Campus hosting free Raining Jane concert Sept. 3Wednesday, August 20, 2008 ST. CLOUD, Minn. — L.A.-based rock/folk band Raining Jane will make a stop on the band’s headlining college tour to perform at St. Cloud State University at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, in Ritsche Auditorium, Stewart Hall. Admission is free of charge. Raining Jane’s acoustic show brings three-part harmonies, guitars, cello, Cajun, sitar and bass to the stage, creating a display of sonic possibilities woven into personal stories and songs. Raining Jane (www.rainingjane.com) will perform songs from their latest studio effort, “Paper Nest,” as well as favorites from previous albums. “Paper Nest” was released in March 2008 and produced by Brad Gordon (Jim Bianco, Quincy Coleman, Hotel Café house band) at Magic Carpet Studios in Los Angeles. “Paper Nest” features eight tracks of Raining Jane originals and Sara Bareilles makes a guest appearance singing backup vocals on the song "Clementine."
