The nation's best NCAA Division II wrestling team begins the postseason Sunday with a national championship in its sights.
The No. 1 Husky Wrestling team enters the Feb. 24 Super Region 3 meet in Waterloo, Iowa, as the two-time regional champion and two-time national runner-up.
Get to know your Huskies:
- Coach Steve Costanzo's career record at St. Cloud State is 100-23, an 81 percent win rate.
- The team is 21-0 and has won 47 consecutive dual meets dating back to January 2011.
- Senior Shamus O'Grady, Coon Rapids, who is ranked No. 1 at 184-pounds, has a career record of 100-18.
- Other nationally ranked wrestlers include Eric Forde, Fargo, N.D., at 125 pounds; Andy Pokorny, Bennington, Neb., at 133 pounds; Clint Poster, Pierz, at 157 pounds and Jacob Kahnke, Shakopee, at 285 pounds.
