Students, parents, educators and business leaders will promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Math education at the STEM Summit Jan. 31 in Atwood Memorial Center. View the event flyer (PDF). Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) is expected to do a video welcome message. Students in grades seven through 12 will tour exhibits and experience Professor Sepoc, a science entertainer who was formerly a chemist and inventor with 3M. Among the exhibits will be Minnesota Planetarium's ExploraDome, which delivers hands-on learning experiences within a 25-foot diameter video dome. STEM Summit is an affiliate event of the USA Science & Engineering Festival, April 26-27, 2014 in Washington, D.C. For more information, contact Carolyn Williams at crwilliams@stcloudstate.edu.
