Douglas H. Vinzant will be St. Cloud State's new vice president of finance and administration Dec. 10. Vinzant replaces Steve Ludwig who retired in June after 25 years of service with seven years as vice president. Len Sippel has filled the vice president position as an interim. Vinzant has more than 25 years of experience in public higher education leading budget, strategic planning, administration and finance, and information technology operations at universities across the country. He served as vice president for administration at the University of Wyoming from 2009-2012 and has held administrative roles at the University of Illinois, Arizona State University, Eastern Washington University and Central Washington University. He also was a faculty member at Eastern Washington University. Early in his career, he was a budget analyst in the Department of Social and Health Services and the Governor’s Budget Office, both in Olympia, Wash. Most recently, Vinzant was a senior consulting associate with the Pappas Consulting Group. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Mississippi College and master’s
and doctorate of public administration degrees from the University of
Southern California. As vice president for the Office of Finance and Administration at St. Cloud State, Vinzant will provide strategic leadership and oversight for the University’s financial, budgetary, human resources, security, safety, emergency, facilities and major contract service functions. << Previous | Archive | Next >>
