COSE associate dean finalists

Three finalists for associate dean of the College of Science and Engineering (COSE)/director of the School of Computing, Engineering & Environment will visit St. Cloud State in November and December.
Mark Cal, Ryan Rosandich and Adel Ali will interview and participate in open sessions with campus and community.
COSE faculty serve 29 bachelor's degree programs, 19 minors, 15 pre-professional programs and nine graduate programs.
The associate dean the person will manage COSE operations and logistics, as assigned by the dean. As director, the person will be responsible for school leadership, personnel management, operations and logistics.
The new hire will begin serving with Dean David DeGroote on July 1.
The finalists are:
- Mark Cal chairs the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, Socorro. He holds a doctorate in civil & environmental engineering from the University of Illinois. His presentation/open forum is 3 p.m. Nov. 27 in Alumni Room, Atwood Memorial Center (AMC). - Ryan Rosandich chairs the Department of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering at the University of Minnesota, Duluth. He earned a doctorate in engineering management from the University of Missouri-Rolla. His presentation/open forum is 1 p.m. Nov. 29 in Voyageurs North, AMC. View his curriculum vitae (PDF).
- Adel Ali chairs the Department of Math, Science and Technology at the University of Minnesota, Crookston. He holds a doctorate in computer science from Lehigh University in Bethleham, Pa. His presentation/open forum is 2 p.m. Dec. 3 in Voyageurs North, AMC. View his curriculum vitae (PDF).
