News Release Cities hockey broadcastsFriday, January 27, 2012 St. Cloud State is teaming with Comcast Cable to deliver live Twin Cities television broadcasts of 11 men's Husky Hockey games during the 2012-13 season.
View a print-friendly list of the broadcasts (PDF), which include games against top-ranked teams, such as University of Minnesota and University of Denver. The games will air on Comcast Cable channel 13 in the St. Paul area and channel 23 in the Minneapolis area. The deal was brokered by Front Row Marketing, St. Cloud State's marketing partner for Husky Athletics. Front Row is a subsidiary of Philadelphia-based Comcast. Nine of the broadcasts will be live feeds from Husky Productions, the hockey division of St. Cloud State's student-run UTVS television station. At the microphones will be Minnesota broadcast veteran Jim Rich and former Husky All-American and NHL standout Mark Parrish. The Friday Husky Productions telecasts will include a 30-minute pregame show. In the St. Cloud area, Husky Productions televises all regular season home games on Charter Cable channel 87. St. Cloud State plays NCAA Division I men's hockey in the Western Collegiate Hockey Conference. The team plays home games at the National Hockey & Event Center (NHEC), near the south end of campus.
