Move-In and Orientation

More than 18,000 students return to their studies this month at Minnesota's second-largest university.
Move-in, social gatherings, information sessions, orientation activities and Husky Kickoff events are scheduled around the Aug. 22 start of Fall Semester at St. Cloud State University.
First year and new transfer students will move into residence halls Aug. 20. Returning residence hall students will move in Aug. 21.
Volunteer Husky Haulers will help students move into rooms at the university's 10 residential communities.
Residential Life staff members and uniformed officers from the university's Public Safety Department will provide supervision. Visit the Move-In webpage.
The Aug. 20-21 new student orientation is packed with activities including a welcome picnic, information sessions about education abroad and an orientation program. New this year is a Common Reading Program discussion of the Sherman Alexie novel "The Absolutely True Diary of A Part-Time Indian." View the new student orientation schedule.
The Aug. 21-22 transfer student orientation includes a tour, Sunday brunch and Monday social. View the schedule.

Johnny Holm Concert
Midwest music legend Johnny Holm and his band perform 9 p.m. Aug. 25 on Atwood Mall.
Thousands of students will return to rental housing west of campus in the historic University-Southside neighborhood. University staff and officers from the St. Cloud Police Department will guide the process.
Construction of a roundabout at University Drive and Fifth Avenue South will affect access to the south end of the neighborhood. View a news story with construction and detour details.
