News Release Panhellenic Council honoredTuesday, February 22, 2011
The governing body for social sororities at St. Cloud State has been recognized for its public relations excellence. The Panhellenic Council won an award for outstanding achievement in public relations at the Feb. 10-13 Association of Fraternal Leadership and Values (AFLV) Central Conference in St. Louis, Mo. Amber Imdieke, vice president of networking and communications, accepted the award on behalf of the Panhellenic Council. Imdieke is a student from Sauk Centre. Ben Pauley, president of the Interfraternity Council (IFC), gave a short talk about accepting Greeks from the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities. IFC is the governing body for social fraternities at St. Cloud State. Pauley is from Parker, S.D. Amanda Kleinschmidt and Makenna Schluter participated in the Order of Omega Case Study Competition, a judged activity based on research and argumentation. Kleinschmidt, a Sauk Rapids student, is Panhellenic Council president. Schluter is a graduate assistant. More than 2,400 campus leaders from around the nation attended the conference. The largest Greek conference, the AFLV Central Conference helps develop council and chapter leaders. << Previous | Archive | Next >>
