The Department of Statistics and Computer Networking (CNA) at St. Cloud State University is partnering with the Statistical Analysis System (SAS) Institute, a business analytics software and services company, to offer SAS certified training.
In celebration of the partnership, the SAS Institute hosted a seminar for statistics faculty and graduate students on April 21-22. The Institute donated over $30,000 in books, software and seminar time to the department.
SAS is the leader in business analytics software and services, and the largest independent vendor in the business intelligence market.
“The connection with SAS will further enhance collaboration between St. Cloud State and the industry,” said Leonard Onyiah, chair of the CNA department. “It will also ensure easy placement of our graduates in highly paid jobs.”
CNA faculty are being trained to teach courses that will lead to certification in statistical analysis systems, jointly awarded by the SAS Institute and St. Cloud State.
Through innovative solutions delivered within an integrated framework, the SAS Institute helps customers at more than 45,000 sites improve performance and deliver value by making better decisions faster. Since 1976 SAS has been giving customers around the world The Power to Know®.
