An "Understanding and Dismantling Racism" workshop will provide individuals, institutions and organizations with strategies for breaking down racism in Central Minnesota.
The workshop is 12:30-4:30 p.m. Dec. 3 in the Alumni Room, Atwood Memorial Center.
The fee is $69.00 per person, which includes refreshments, lunch and workshop materials. Register online.
Presenters are Debra Leigh and James Addington.
Leigh, a professor of dance, is the founder and artistic director of the university's Repertory Dance Theater and the Summer Dance Institute. She leads the Community Anti-Racism Education Initiative (CARE), a leading anti-racism organization on campus and in the community.
Addington is a trainer and consultant with the Minnesota Collaborative Anti-Racism Initiative (MCARI) in St. Paul. He has 30 years’ experience in local community development, leadership training, organizational development and strategic planning.
