Band Showcase concert

Campus Band performs a mix of traditional and contemporary concert band music, including show and popular tunes.

The St. Cloud State University Campus Band is partnering with the St. Cloud Municipal Band to present a “Band Showcase” concert 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19 in Stewart Hall’s Ritsche Auditorium.

Featured with the Campus Band will be Albert Moore, professor of music and trumpet player. Moore will perform “Granito de Arena” by Rafael Mendez. Other selections include Philip Sparke's “A Klezmer Karnival,” a trio of Yiddish dances.

Under the direction of Mel Hauck, the Municipal Band will perform a variety of audience favorites.

Admission to the event is $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and non-St. Cloud State students and one free with St. Cloud State ID. Children 12 and under are free. Tickets will be available at the door and a portion of the proceeds will go toward scholarships for St. Cloud State music students.
