Christine Carucci received a Bachelor of Music with concentrations in music education and performance from the Eastman School of Music, and a Master of Music in performance from the University of Southern California. She is a candidate for a Ph.D. in music education from the University of Kentucky, where she also completed her Orff-Schulwerk training. 

Christine has performed as a bassoonist throughout North America, Europe and Asia with a variety of performing ensembles. Additionally, she has held positions teaching K-12 instrumental and general music in New York, California and Massachusetts. 

Christine has served as an adjunct faculty member at Eastern Kentucky University, Asbury College and at the University of Rhode Island. She is the founder and former director of the Lexington, KY New Horizons Band and remains an active advocate for community music education across the lifespan.
