Kay Nam was raised in a musical environment with a pianist/instructor mother and a violist sister.
This helped shape her philosophy that music not only enriches one's life but also helps to provide confidence in expressing oneself along with character.
With her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Ewha Woman's University and her Master degree in Piano Pedagogy from St. Cloud State University, she is active as a piano teacher and an accompanist in the St. Cloud and Twin Cities area.
Additionally, she is an active member of MNTA (Music Teachers National Association), MMTA (Minnesota Music Teachers’ Association), and the National Guild of Piano Teachers. She has produced state winners in the MMTA Piano Contest and Guild Piano Audition every year since 2008, the year she joined the Prep Program.
