Kristen joined the SCSU music department in 2015 as adjunct professor for MUSE 331.
She graduated with a degree in vocal performance and music education from College of Saint Benedict/St. John's University and obtained a Master’s degree in education from St. Mary's University.
She started her career teaching K-6 music at Lincoln Elementary in St. Cloud for 8 years, and moved buildings and currently teaches K-5 music at Kennedy Elementary in St. Joseph.

When not teaching, Kristen enjoys spending time being active, whether at the gym, outside biking, or playing volleyball, and enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
