Music Department - St. Cloud State University

Paramount Theatre’s Local Roots Concert Series presents professional performers in a variety of arts genres that currently live in the Central Minnesota area. In this third of five Local Roots concerts for the 2012-2013 season, the Music Faculty from St. Cloud State University will be offering a delightful afternoon of performances by many of their nationally-recognized vocalists and instrumentalists.

Musical selections will range from the traditional to the eclectic including works for voice, clarinet and flute, oboe, trombone and harp, four amplified bass drums, and faculty compositions for computer generated soundscapes and video. Featured will be the World Premiere of Dr. Melissa Krause's Big Sky for trombone and percussion – a tribute to Montana's Glacier National Park.
