ST.CLOUD STATE BAND FEST engages high school students with:

• Masterclasses with faculty artists.
• Music technology workshops with university faculty.
• Mock auditions to help prepare for all-state and music scholarships, and
• Large ensemble mentoring with university musicians.

Each visiting band receives two 45 minute clinics, the opportunity to hear other bands, and a special Festival Honor Band for selected juniors and seniors. The ST. CLOUD STATE BAND FEST is held annually every third Thursday and Saturday of November.

The Thursday of the festival is focused on local high school band programs while the following Saturday includes the Festival Honor Band and bands from farther away. Both the Thursday and Saturday festivals include performances by the St. Cloud State Husky Sports Band, Wind Ensemble, Symphony Band, Jazz I, and Percussion Collective.
