HistoryThe first performance of the Husky Sports Band was March 1st, 2006 at Halenbeck Hall for the North Central Conference Men's and Women's Basketball Finals. Months of preparation preceeded this performance with the hiring of their first director, purchasing of new equipment and music, and most importantly recruiting new band members. The fans at the first basketball game were enthusiastic and supportive. Even after the game a group of alumni stayed and continued to ask for more music—which the band happily provided!
