New Music in Media Program

Working closely with the Art, Theatre and Film Studies Departments, the Music Department at St Cloud State University offers a number of courses that deal with new and emerging technologies. The New Music in Media Program offers an intellectually challenging and artistically stimulating experience across disciplines that focuses on creativity with new media.

Courses include Electronic Music I and II, Digital Sound and Synthesis, Interactive Music, a Studio for Interrelated Media, Advanced MIDI and Web Design for Musicians, Private Instruction in Electronic Music and New Media, and even an Electroacoustic Arts Ensemble. Each semester offers numerous performance opportunities and opportunities to interact with guest artists.
