The Office of Multicultural Student Services at St. Cloud State University along with partnering institutions will host the 6th Annual Power in Diversity Leadership Conference, January 29-February 1, 2015.

Attendees to the Power in Diversity Leadership Conference are college students from institutions in the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MNSCU) system and colleges from the region.

Students, faculty, staff and professionals are encouraged to develop workshops for college students in the spirit of the conference theme, “Remembering the Sixties while charting the future.”

Target audience: College students of diverse backgrounds

If interested, please submit this form by Monday, December 8,, 2014.

Workshops are selected based on their integration of the conference theme, relevance to the tracts identified below, and howthe workshop connects to college students from across the region. Please allow for 60 minutes followed by 15 minutes for questions.

*Please note that workshop presenters are not compensated.

Workshop proposals should be developed to address the following tracts:

  • Charting Your Future: Internships, mentorships, career planning, professional development, choosing a graduate school
  • Financial Literacy: Financing your education, budgeting, personal finances
  • Leadership Development: Learning to motivate others, helping others to be successful, how to be a solution manager
  • Navigating College: Stress and time management, health and wellness/self-care, utilizing resources, healthy relationships
  • Activism and Community Engagement:Addressing topics across the spectrum of diversity including multicultural issues, community building, political issues
