Hi everyone. My name is Nikhil Arashanapalli. I have an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering. As a student planning to do higher education, the two important factors I was looking for in choosing a particular school were
1. The quality of the education I would receive and
2. The funding prospects.
After a lot of research, I decided to pursue Engineering Management (EM) at St. Cloud State University (SCSU) because it is excellent at the above two factors.
The professors led by the director of the program Dr. Ben Baliga, provide a high quality education with not just theoretical studies but also with real time projects in the companies which makes the learning process an interesting one.
The EM department has great funding prospects for a student. It has around 10 Graduate Assistantships and more than 10 internships. At present I am working in Future Products Inc. which is a textile manufacturing company. The projects I am working on are improving the current facility layout design and implementing performance control system.
