Program Outcomes and Assessments:

8 - Graduates from the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at St. Cloud State University will have an understanding of the competitive and integrated nature of the mechanical and manufacturing environment.

 

A. Understand the current key issues and needs of the mechanical and manufacturing environment correctly.

      1. Unable to list most key issues and current needs and challenges in mechanical/manufacturing environment.

      2. Only able to list a few key issues or needs or give inaccurate statements on the current key issues and needs.

      3. Able to list most key issues with some inaccurate statements.

      4. Able to list all key issues and needs with some inaccurate statements.

      5. Correctly identified and list all the key issues and needs in current mechanical/manufacturing environment.

 

B. Has good understanding of all the key activities in design and manufacturing industry and their relation.

      1. Unable to list key activities in design and manufacturing industry correctly.

      2. Only list a few key activities with no understanding about their relations and importance.

      3. Only able to list a few key activities without a good understanding of their relationships and importance.

      4. Able to list all key activities in design and manufacturing with some understanding of their relationships.

      5. Listed all the key activities in design/manufacturing industry and understands their relations correctly.
