Advertising: SCSU students win award with Coke campaignThis is what award-winning advertising looks like
St. Cloud State University's team placed second in the 2007 District 8 regional National Student Advertising Competition. Eleven teams created comprehensive Coca-Cola campaigns for the competition, better known as the NSAC, which the American Advertising Federation's education services division conducts annually in conjunction with a major corporation. For this year's competition, Coca-Cola provided a case study outlining its history, and student teams then researched the product and created an integrated communications campaign. St. Cloud State advertising students Christine Eide, Jill Greip, Megan Holewa, Kody Kirk, and Shannon Weber presented our award-winning campaign. Their strategy? The team's research showed that Coca-Cola's polar bears were most popular with the demographic the campaign was targeting. The District 8 competition includes teams from Canada, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota andWisconsin.
