Public Relations
The study of public relations at SCSU provides students with a strong liberal arts background, theoretical and critical thinking skills base, strong writing experience in three writing classes beyond freshman composition, understanding of four-step process as applied to all aspects of PR, campaign planning, technology mastery and areas of employment for PR graduates. Students are encouraged to seek out the public relations sequence early in their academic career in order to maximize the variety of courses to be taken as electives and to select a complementary minor.
Students are also encouraged to participate in the many student organizations offered in the department and across the campus that will enhance their study of public relations.
