Company Overview:The Great River Educational Arts Theatre (GREAT Theatre) nurtures an appreciation of the arts throughout Central Minnesota by offering diverse, creative, and educationalopportunities that serve to educate, enlighten, and stimulate individuals and communities. GREAT was founded in April 1998, and has become the leading youth arts educator in Central Minnesota. In 2010-11 we served an annual audience of 60,208 including 14,743 students who attended our school matinee performances. Our award-winning dynamic arts programming engages children ages pre-school through grade 12, their families, and a growing adult audience. We provide artistic, educational, and entertaining opportunities and experiences for our audiences to learn and grow through the arts.
Responsibilities:Assists in executing acomprehensive fund development program including individual, foundation, corporation, and government agency support. Responsibilities include database management, identification and research of prospects, donor stewardship, follow-up reporting, and solicitation execution. Manage donor database with comprehensive and on-going knowledge of database capabilities ― Administer gift entry and constituent updates ― Execute receipt letters to contributors ― Run donor reports and reconcile with Quick Books reports ― Oversee printing and mailing of solicitation letters and emails ― Work with mail house to coordinate large mailings ― Prospect research ― Explore grant and sponsorship opportunities and deadlines ― Copy editing on grant applications and donor communications ― Oversee grant report deadlines ― Monitor grant agreements and contracts ― Assist with special events ― Perform other clerical duties such as copying, filing, correspondence, etc. as needed ― B.A. degree (or student working towards B.A. degree) ― Detail-oriented, efficient, and organized ― Excellent analytical, writing, and verbal communication ― Proactive, motivated, and able to work autonomously ― Proven time management skills ― Creative, flexible, and willing to contribute to adapt and improve fundraising plans ― Able to follow written and verbal directions well ― Proficient using Mac and PC, skillful in Microsoft Office applications and internet research ― Able to handle confidential and sensitive information in an information‘Vrich environment ― Interested in nonprofit operations and development work
