Company Overview:Minnesota Fringe is a Minneapolis-based nonprofit organization whose mission is to connect adventurous artists with adventurous audiences. The biggest way we do this is by organizing the Minnesota Fringe Festival, an annual eleven-day performing arts extravaganza. In 2010, we issued over 50,000 tickets to 169 shows. Responsibilities:Description: The front-of-house services intern works with the Director of Audience and Volunteer Services to prepare and execute of all front-of-house operations for Minnesota Fringe. Specific duties include: Attending events before Fringe to talk about the festival; organizing supplies and setting up the festival office; compiling and organizing information for outreach programs; corresponding with volunteers via phone and email; assisting with volunteer training sessions, scheduling volunteers, and assisting the front-of-house staff as needed during the festival. Experience and qualifications: Undergraduate student in theater, communications, management or other related field. Must have excellent communication skills and ability to multitask. Experience with databases and working front-of-house for theater (house managing, box office, ushering, volunteering) a plus. Compensation: Stipend, staff pass to festival. Academic credit (if desired).
