Company Overview:Save Lives. Fulfill Yours. The American Cancer Society is looking for an energetic, motivated intern to assist us in our fight against cancer! This rewarding internship will be responsible for assisting our RFL Business Unit team with planning and implementation of our Midwest Division Leadership Summit, as well as assisting with our programmatic activities. This intern will play a key role in planning and implementation of our Division’s Leadership Summit – a 900 person event that develops leadership skills and provide content training for our Relay For Life leadership volunteers and staff

Responsibilities:We are looking for an intern with exceptional organization, communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills to support Leadership Summit production:: • Summit inventory list maintenance • Verify quantities in shipments • Product purchases for Friday night activity • Vendor communication • Maintain invoices • Centerpiece development • Communication with managers for tents • Recognition assistance • Attendance on Thursday conference calls (10am-11:30am) • Attendance at Summit (October 20-22) • Coordinate transportation of materials The intern will also provide assistance with Relay Roundtables Job Requirements: •    Interns must be full-time undergraduate or graduate college students in good academic standing. Students must have completed their freshman year and have declared a major. Candidates must earn at least a “C+” cumulative average (2.50+ on 4.00 scale) and maintain at least a “C+” cumulative average each year in order to continue in the program. •Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint •Strong customer service skills •Verbal and written communication skills •Organizational Skills •Initiative and ability to work independently Time Commitment: Approximately 18 – 20 hours/week June – mid November
