Graduate Program Overview
The master's program at Minnesota's second largest university offers students the educational and experiential background to become outstanding professionals and leaders in the field of mass communications. The graduate program is nationally accredited by the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications (ACEJMC).
This is a professionally oriented program with a strong theoretical base. Faculty with extensive professional and international experience teach courses in advertising and public relations, communication management, international communication, and theory and research methodology.
Our graduate program draws on an outstanding faculty and state-of-the-art facilities that include two computer labs, a 24-hour educational radio station, a newspaper, two television studios, a student-operated television station, and a photography lab.
Our faculty members combine impressive academic credentials, and extensive professional and international experience. Many of our professors lecture and consult around the world and/or conduct international research as Fulbright scholars and as applied researchers. You will enjoy the individual attention and enthusiasm of our friendly and dedicated teachers.
You will also appreciate the low tuition and living cost on our campus. Computing and Technology Services provides computer support for research and data processing. Our new state-of-the-art library has become the high-tech center for learning on campus as well as a valuable information hub for the community.
