Mass CommunicationsMass Communications News PR students named finalistsTuesday, March 3, 2009 Two senior mass communication students were named as finalists for the 7th annual PRSA "Student Classics Awards" competition. Melissa Croteau, of Anoka, MN and Becca Bijoch of Maple Grove, MN submitted entries for the competition in January with extensive information regarding their public relations efforts as students here at SCSU. Croteau became a finalist after entering a newsletter from her internship with St. Cloud Technical College and a marketing project she coordinated for Erbert & Gerbert’s Sandwich Shops. Bijoch also became a finalist after entering her public relations campaign for Biolife Plasma Services and public relations campaign she helped develop with Neighborhood University Community Council (NUCC) neighborhood cleanup last spring. Every year, PRSA (Public Relations Society of America) allows students to showcase their best public relations efforts by submitting entries in five different categories: Special Purpose Publications, News/Feature Writing, Community Relations/Special Events, New Media/Technology and Planning. << Previous | Archive | Next >> |
