Marjorie Fish
Marjorie Fish teaches television production, documentary film and mass communication
theory. Her areas of interest include feminist and alternative
critical perspectives on mass media. In 2005/2006 she taught video
editing workshops to Danish photo-journalists learning to use video for converging
photojournalism with broadcast and internet distribution. She is a
videographer and documentary videomaker. Her video Recycling Glass
(2006) informs the public of problems for glass recycling created by the
introduction of single steam recycling. Sponsored by Eureka Recycling
of St. Paul, MN, this 30 minute DVD has been used for staff training, in
educational settings, and to inform policy makers of the significance of
recycled glass for preserving energy and resources.
Marjorie
is currently on phased retirement and plans to continue making community-based
documentary programs that inform the public about matters of social concern.
