Advertising
Advertising is one of the most popular concentrations within the Mass Communications major. Study begins with a survey course encompassing all aspects of advertising and promotion. Study of theories and practices continues through layout/design, copy writing,and research methods. Senior students complete a capstone course in which they apply all of their skills in completing local and national campaigns. The advertising sequence prepares students for a variety of advertising careers, ranging from agency positions in creative, media and account management to business side positions in advertising management.
