About the Department of Information Systems
The Information Systems (IS) program at St. Cloud State University is the most extensive and comprehensive undergraduate computer information systems program in the state of Minnesota. It is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The SCSU program includes current issues of technology and client/server applications in business, features that may not be available in other programs. IS is a major for those who like analyzing business problems and developing information technology solutions to these problems. The demand for these skills is nationwide. In Minnesota alone, the needs for high technology are projected to exceed the supply of graduates for many years. IS majors receive some of the highest starting salaries of all college graduates.
