You will be traveling at a very busy time of year in
the United States, so please make your reservations as
soon as possible. Allow time to arrive on campus before

outside of all your luggage?
Use your SCSU address, as this will facilitate finding
your bags should they be misplaced by the airlines during

in advance of your departure?
This will give you an idea of what and how much you can
take. Check with the airlines regarding their luggage size,
number and weight policy. Excess baggage sent by sea takes
6 weeks to 6 months to arrive, depending on where it is
sent from; check with your local shipper.
Can you carry your own luggage

If not, you may want to consider purchasing a collapsible
luggage cart to assist you.
Do you have personal items packed in
your carry-on bag in case your luggage is lost or delayed?
Check with the airlines concerning the size, weight and
content restrictions for a carry-on bag. Here are a few
suggestions for items to include in your carry-on bag:
- change of clothing
- book or magazine
- snacks
- toothbrush & toothpaste
- brush or comb
- medications - in their original
containers
