United States Official Paperwork
- Did you receive more than one letter
of acceptance from a university in the United States? If
so, write letters of regret to those universities you have
decided not to attend. Return any official documents, such
as the form I-20 (form DS-2019 for exchange students),
that may have been sent to you by those universities.
- Do you have your St. Cloud State University
form I-20 or DS-2019? Do not come to SCSU using another
school's I-20 to enter the United States. It is illegal
to enter the country with another school's I-20 if you
intend to come to school at SCSU. Please contact our office
if you do not have your SCSU issued I-20 or DS2019.
- Have you obtained your Student Visa
using your SCSU I-20? Please refer to the following website
to learn more about applying for a student visa.
In the event that you choose St. Cloud State University
after you got your visa, you MUST present the St. Cloud
State University I-20 or DS2019 at your Port of Entry or
you will be out-of-status even before you arrive.
- Do you have a valid passport? You must
have a valid passport during your entire stay in the United
State.
- Do you need an exit/entry permit from
your country? If you need a permit, be sure to obtain one
before departing
