Housing and Early Arrivals
One of the best parts of college is life on campus. This is where you meet new people; where you get involved with activities and organizations; where you start to live the life you want to lead.Â
We can help you live it—starting with a place to call home.
On-Campus Housing
Consider living at St. Cloud State's newest residential facility, Coborn Plaza Apartments. Located between downtown St. Cloud and campus, the high value, 455-student housing complex offers fully furnished private bedrooms and bathrooms, kitchens, every imaginable amenity, including full appliances, expanded basic cable television and free access to the university's high-speed data network.
Coborn Plaza Apartments offers the best of both worlds: the safety and convenience of university-managed housing and easy access to St. Cloud's commercial and cultural center.
Get to know the university's 10 residential halls, including Lawrence Hall, a unique living experience with a global focus. Visit the Residential Life website.
Off-Campus Housing
The St. Cloud area offers a variety of off-campus apartment options. Apartments for one or more people include full kitchens and baths, but may not be as convenient to classes and other campus activities.
As a student visits potential apartments, he/she should make sure to check out the safety features such as secured outside doors, intercom systems, and deadbolts on doors, and secured windows.
Family Housing
Unfortunately, we do not have temporary housing for family or friends who may accompany you to school. Again, you may want to seek residence in a hotel/motel.
Early Arrivals
PUBLIC SAFETY - If you arrive on campus and need assistance, please call Public Safety. Their 24 hour telephone number is 1-320-308-3333. Public Safety is located at
526 4th Avenue South, right next to the on-campus parking ramp.
Students who have completed the housing contract and who are planning to live on campus may be granted temporary housing prior to the first day of classes. This housing is charged at USD $120 per week. The earliest move-in date is Sunday, August 18, 2013. If you arrive earlier than this date, you will have to stay at a hotel/motel.
Students planning to live off-campus are not eligible for temporary housing and should be prepared to live in a hotel/motel while they search for an apartment.
