Health Insurance Information
The United States does not have a national healthcare system, and the cost of medical care can be catastrophic. A few days in the hospital, for example, can add up to thousands of dollars. To protect yourself from financial hardship in the event you become ill or injured, you must maintain insurance through the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System Student Health Plan.
- Purchase health insurance before registering for classes.
- Renew this insurance policy by July 15 of every year or risk having your pre-registered courses dropped on July 16.
How much does it cost?
$969 for the academic year 2009-2010. Rates may vary for exchange students not seeking a degree. Please check your welcome packet for details.
