Long Term Care Coverage

This valuable group benefit complements the coverage offered under our health plans and Medicare by paying for services an employee might need if, because of an illness, injury, or old age, becomes unable to perform day-to-day activities, like getting out of bed, getting dressed, eating, or just moving about the house.

Newly-hired employees may enroll within 90 days of hire without providing evidence of good health, as long as they are eligible for other employee benefits and are actively at work at the time coverage becomes effective.

Employees who are not new hires, their spouse and spouses of new hires may enroll at any time, but must show evidence of good health by completing the short form application. Persons should consider applying for coverage even if they have medical conditions, since some conditions may not necessarily disqualify them.
