The mission of the Office of Human Resources is to support all university units and personnel in the effective utilization of human resources by providing leadership and high quality specialized services to all campus constituents. These services will contribute to the recruitment, selection, development, and retention of a diverse workforce. As it assures the compliance with state and federal regulations and MnSCU policies, the human resources staff will deliver effective and efficient services to the entire campus community. The human resources staff will support university areas in clarifying human resources issues and sharpening their focus so they may more fully enrich programs and provide outstanding services to students. The Office of Human Resources accepts a leadership role, assisting the campus community, by administering a comprehensive education and training program for recruitment and retention of a highly developed workforce. The Office of Human Resources is a strategic partner and strives to make advances in user friendly client services. The university employs approximately 1,600 faculty and staff in a collective bargaining environment.
