Athlete Testing

Tests: The Human Performance Laboratory routinely tests high school, college and Olympic athletes. The testing generally includes one or more of the following assessments: body composition, minimum weight classes for wrestlers, dietary recall, endurance capacity (VO2 max), lactate threshold, peak muscle power output, lung function as well as various sports skills technique analyses.

Counsel: We regularly counsel coaches and individual athletes at all levels on their training and dietary practices. This counsel is provided to help athletes enhance their performances in a safe and effective manner.

Fact and Fiction: The enormous amount of often contradictory information available to coaches on sports training and nutrition often leads to confusion. The Human Performance Laboratory faculty, with a combined 50 years of experience in the field, routinely help coaches and athletes understand the most essential pieces of information on selected topics.
